SEED association

Seed is a non-profit association which has been active since 2007 in the field of technologies, communication and education; its staff currently consists in 7 members. Seed was born from the belief that an adequate use of ICT and e-learning technologies can make a difference in education and training initiatives in cooperation and development projects: enhancing access, allowing the creation of stable networks, and improving daily working activities. Apart from its activity in developing countries and in the social field, Seed‘s staff took part in different EU projects on research, training or dissemination tasks.

Seed took part to the LLP Comenius project PINOKIO, which aimed at introducing digital storytelling as a tool to promote intercultural integration in primary schools, by means of a training programme addressing both teachers and pupils.

Seed is also currently participating to the LLP Comenius project RIGHTS, which involves middle schools and focuses on digital storytelling aimed at improving global citizenship education.

Besides taking part to projects funded by the European Commission, seed also implements projects promoted by local private foundations; two of such projects regarded the integration and communicative skills’ improvement of children with special needs in the primary schools Piccolo Principe and Istituto Sant’Angelo di Loverciano in Lugano.

SEED will coordinate WP3 in collaboration with CECE (P3) and the technical aspects of disseminations.

The Seed role in the project Rapport will mainly regard quality control and evaluation; specifically, evaluation will address: the collaboration and communication among the partners during the whole project and the partnership’s effectiveness, and it will be mainly measured by means of questionnaires submitted at project meeting. The quality of the project’s products will also be evaluated, submitting questionnaires to the test or experimentation stage, and also the quality of dissemination activities, considering also the effectiveness of online dissemination.
