Institute for Private Enterprise and Democracy
Institute for Private Enterprise and Democracy of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (IPED) was established in February 1993 as an independent foundation, specialized in research of the SME sector, policy analysis, training and support of the growing private sector in Poland. Since its inception, the Institute has published over 70 major policy reports, referring to high-tech and innovative SMEs, foreign investment, tax legislation, social insurance, regional development and restructuring of rural areas, investment promotion, business ethics, grey economy etc. It has also organized numerous national and international briefings and conferences. On a regular basis, IPED prepares analyses of current legislation from a business' point of view. Its opinions are frequently taken into consideration by public authorities. Currently (January 2012), IPED employs 12 people in its premises in Warsaw and cooperates with several associates in Poland and abroad.
The Institute has established permanent working relationships with leading Polish universities, specialized in entrepreneurship research and policy studies. It maintains relations with governmental organizations and parliamentary groups, cooperates with business and employer's organizations as well as foreign foundations active in the field of the common interest. High level of professionalism of the Institute's reports together with its carefully formulated recommendations and successful public relations activities have contributed to the Institute's image as one of the most distinguished economic and political think tanks in Poland.
Project management will be supervised by the project manager. Monitoring and control of the activities carried out will be provided in accordance with the budget and project schedule. An official way of communication will be e-mail and telephone as well as direct meetings between the partners during the implementation of project tasks. Project Team has been chosen appropriately to ensure achievement of the project’s objectives. The team includes highly skilled professionals of diverse competencies. A Proper selection of staff will ensure the highest quality of technical and financial management of the project.
